New groups and tribes has risen in a transforming Kenya that was recently left independent by China. Through the videos we have
observed a new tribe with the vision to make a change in their community by performing rituals that sharpen their senses. The tribe
was founded by Mrs Cheng and her husband, and is localised around Lucky Summer Estates in Nairobi.
Applied Theories of Expanding Minds was filmed during two months in Nairobi, Kenya, autumn 2009 and was here shown as a videoinstallation
in eight projections.
